Is Copper Toxicity Worsening Your Endometriosis?

Have you heard much about copper toxicity and how it can impact your endometriosis?

It's not something we talk about in mainstream medicine. But the truth is, this can be what's standing between you and absolute freedom from endometriosis symptoms.

Copper is a trace mineral that has a number of important functions in the human body. The problem occurs when too much of it gets stored in the soft tissues. When this happens, it can wreak havoc on the immune system, glandular system (ex. adrenal and thyroid glands), nervous system, AND reproductive system.

Copper status is closely related to estrogen metabolism, it's required for fertility, AND to maintain pregnancy. That means copper imbalances can cause/contribute to pretty much any female organ-related difficulty such as premenstrual syndrome, ovarian cysts, infertility, miscarriages, low libido, and of course, endometriosis.

Some other symptoms that are associated with copper imbalances are recurrent fungal infections (ex. yeast infections), thyroid issues (ex. hypothyroidism), memory loss (especially in young people), depression, anxiety, and more.

You may be at an increased risk of excess copper if you've been on the birth control pill, used a copper IUD, or are deficient in zinc.
