Free Endometriosis Masterclass
If you just want to connect with other like-minded women who are experiencing the same issues you are – you are welcome here.
Endometriosis affects a shocking estimated 176 million women all over the world. Yet we are only now beginning to turn our attention to this condition. And we can offer up a lot of thanks to celebrities who have spoken out about their struggles (Lena Dunham, Julianne Hough, Susan Sarandon, Padma Lakshmi – THANK YOU).
Historically, we have done women a disservice when it comes to medical care for reproductive conditions and endometriosis could be the poster child. Women have been told “you must be exaggerating” or “it’s just part of being a woman” when reporting extreme pelvic pain, the most common endometriosis symptom.
Endometriosis can be an extremely distressing and debilitating condition affecting a woman’s career, social life, relationships, sex, energy, and fertility.
Or it can go entirely unnoticed until a woman tries to conceive. Up to 30-50% of women may experience infertility (ASRM).
Endometriosis symptoms vary from woman to woman and we still don’t understand why.
In fact, even the stage of endometriosis is not correlated with the amount of pain a woman has.
Many women who do experience symptoms are told to live with the condition and prescribed hormone medications or surgeries to manage their symptoms. These treatment strategies are associated with many side effects and persistent or recurrent symptoms.
